The various default 'point and click' settings never seemed to work well for my product shots, as I found I couldn't get the depth of field, shading and focus that I wanted /cry.
I'm pretty happy with how I've come along so far - still lots to learn! This photo has only been cropped to size, and I adjusted the shadow/highlight setting a teeny bit in Photoshop :)

Makes the soap look lovely and fresh - softening lighting. Does the beautiful soap have a name?
Hi Karen :)
Yep - it's my 'Hint' soap, scented with Lavender and Spearmint eo's, and coloured only with an infused base layer of Chamomile.
A very soft and florally scent!
That does look good!
absolutely gorgeous! I whish I could take pictures this well (not to mention of my whish to make such beautiful soaps as yours... ;-))
Lovely lighting. Your soaps have a very distinctive look. Great.
Thanks all :) Hopefully I'll be able to replicate the softer lighting for the rest of my product shots from now on!
Have a great day everyone!
That pic looks amazing Kathy - your lessons have definitely paid off! :)
Lovely photo of a truly beautiful soap...it looks like cake with icing...yum! ~Becky
